Magic and Cookies

Seventeenth picture of my journey

My boat made port at this place, where I spent several days in contemplation of my quest.

My tent was outside a Photographers's studio in Alhena. The owner seemed to be a consumate professional but not wishing to disrupt their work I left as budding punters arrived.
Alhena was a place dedicated to shopping it seemed, but it some of the architecture echoed our own.

Nineteenth picture of my journey

I crossed the bridge to see a festive sight, Mrs Christmas flew down from her husband's sleigh and entered a shop. I followed her, keen to meet such a famous figure. She was very friendly and gave me a cookie to eat while I stayed.

But, in speaking to her, I found her name was Stefanii Gorham, the owner and designer of Cyberkitten, the shop I was in.
"Wait," she said in a soft and kind voice, "this is not how I normally look."
I must have looked confused.
"Let me change back into my true form," she said and like a magical sorceress she transformed into a young woman with bright stars in her eyes and hair like the sun.

I told her of my quest and she was intregued and allowed me to stay and take some provisions for my journey. So I decided to look around the Cyberkitten shop.

The Cyberkitten shop stocked a wide variety of food and drink and also allowed people to carry and share food and drink, just as Stefanii had given me a cookie. Stefanii was clearly a comptent designer, friendly owner and kind soul.

Upstairs in Cyberkitten, I met a little girl, who wore robes that seemed familiar. Her uniform was black with a crest of four animals upon it; a lion, a raven, a snake and a badger. Genevieve Lapointe was a Hogwarts student.

Genevieve was happy to answer my questions. Hogwarts castle exists to the Northeast of Secondlife but is not open to visitors yet. Diagon alley, for all your Wizarding needs is of course always open. I was very excited about the prospect of looking around Hogwarts and Diagon alley, but when Genevieve showed me where it was it seemed so far out of my way.
"It's not on my route I'm afraid," I said looking forlorn.
"Make a detour!" She said with joyful enthusiasm.
"Maybe I could," I said smiling.
"Well look me up," Genevieve said, "Your quest sounds exciting! I can be found either at Hogwarts or Furnation."

With that, there was a blur of fur and purple and standing before me was Genevieve in another form.

Twenty second picture of my journey

It just seemed too disappointing not to visit such a landmark location, so I made a new rule for my SecondQuest.

Rule 6: I someone mentions a really cool place to go, make a detour to go there.

My detour to Hogwarts will take a lot of time however, so on your SecondQuest, think carefully.

I saw that Alhena also had fashion shops and the photographers studio I mentioned before. But my journey called and I made my way to the sea once more.

The beach of my next location was dark sand and an air of unease wafted across the dunes. I looked up at the next stop on my SecondQuest, the bleak desert of Frequency Deluxe...
